naw, you are absolutely right and I do use that philosophy all the time. You can give away information all day, but if the recipient doesn't have the same value system and level of understanding, they will not be able to accept or act on the informaton they recieved.
people take courses, seminars, and workshops all the time, study every lecture, watch every video, do every exercise and even get 100 on all the tests. But they fail to get the info from the part of the brain that receives the info and the part of the brain that acts on the info learned.

One reason I'm willing to openly share what I know is that there is plenty of abundance to go around. I also know that if I gave away every secret I had, only a small number would notice, fewer still would understand, and almost none would actually apply it.
If someone did and became a serious competitor life would be more fun with company.

I share simply because I know it'll help others...and others helped me.
I also know that no matter how bang on I might be on things every now and again, most won't listen, won't understand or won't follow - so I content myself with trying. 
...and maybe a couple other projects...

Well now - while I have your ear, let me tell you something else about so called "seo experts"...
I am so ticked off I am sure that you can see the smoke coming out of my ears!
Yes, it is true that I seek collaboration and harmony when dealing with clients and previous "webmasters" "designers" & "marketers"...
but I am just so steamed about my latest encounter with a so called expert I could strangle a shoe lace!
