Anyone remember the Simpson episode where Bill Gates offers to buy Homer's web site and web business and then when Bill Gates gets into Homer's house he starts to bust up Homer's computer saying “hahaha do you think I got rich buying businesses” (or something to that effect).

gwilly1, teehee. Do you have some extra faith? I probably could use it. Send some via forum post. (that'll be interesting to see how that is done).

I don't think you need to excuse yourself for being silly Curt. The needle on the stupidometer broke off a loooooong time ago. Practically flew out the window. rolleyeys

Now if Bill Gates was approached by a couple of mud covered, dare I say it, fish smelling entreprenuers from our very own SEF family, don't you think he'd develop his very own state of the art firewall to keep this brood at bay, rather than summon his lawyers on patrol? huh

Heck! I would wink

OK, OK, I get it! I understand that this is primarily a technical forum, which is why I'm here in the first place...being the new kid on the block, I don't want to overstep the boundaries.

By firewall do you mean guys with flame-throwers at the front gate?

THAT would be a firewall of EPIC proportions. smile

Somehow I don't think hurling laptops in thier faces with the windows firewall set to active will cut it for Bill. He'd have to break out the REAL hardware and barbeque their smelly li'l hynees. Flame throwers might just do the trick wink

And for the love of britney spears' thighs could we please get off the sea-food and the wet earth now? Look what's happening to Bill. Man came in here looking for tips on marketing and in under a week, he's been brain washed by all the stupified fumes in the room.

Who cranked up the stupidator all the way up to high anyway huh? Whole thread's burning up in flames! smile

So...does this mean we're going to take this discussion to a higher level? Wouldn't be too hard! tongue

Don't worry too much about me getting brainwashed...been hit on the head so many times that the old noggin is well-nigh impenetrable...

Shouldn't it be glowing some fun color like 448844? wink

Say Curt, wasn't that model recalled a few hours ago? You might have to upgrade to the latest one. P 45.1.1 smile

formerskeptic, actually the “P 45.1” is the power level indicator, not version number. It's at 45.1% power level. gwilly1 will need to recharge the mini dilithium energy cell to 100% so that it lasts a full 24 hours.

SportsGuy, LEDs are black right now (prototypes)

wink

BTW, gwilly1, I suggest you don't put the emitter in your pocket or your pocket might inadvertantly cause the tapper button to turn off your emitter and you'll get all stinky with the fish smacking your face. Best to pin it to your shirt using the clip. When they go into production, that won't be a problem since it will be activated by touching it with your own fingers and your finger print will activate it eliminating the pressure sensitive button now used for testing.

Well I think I'd take the cheaper approach. Like the "Kids Next Door", I'd make mine from your everyday household items.

First I'd take a toastanator. Insert a thermometer to control heat levels, coupled with a carburettor which'll combust the fuel injected kerosine from my lanternator. And to finish off, attach a vacuum hosanator connected to an air compressanator for a little more zing.

Not the most compact emitter I must admit. But anyone sees me walkin' around with this thing strapped to my back will definately stay the hell out'f MY way! wink

formerskeptic,

hahaha bigsmile (sittin' here giggling laugh ) Just hope you don't develop back problems having that heavy contraption hanging from your back wink

That's quite a bit of weight when you add it all up. As far as cheapness goes, hmmm... starfleet connections gave the emitter to me at no cost (they don't use currency). It's just difficult to get spare prototypes right now (gwilly1 got the other one).
