This is not a huge deal, but while we are talking about it, what happened to the login form field at the top? It would encourage people to join the forums seeing the login near the top with a message stating: "Not a member yet? Please join". Having it near the top of page also helps members readily know that they are already logged in.

hmmm... maybe we don't want any new users to sign up

I agree, loin should be at the top, when I first saw the new design it took me a few minutes to find the login box, if I was a new user, i would have left, remember, we have 10 seconds or so to capture our site visitors
