50,000 people were at work in the World Trade Center's twin towers when two jets slammed into them around 8:50-9:a.m. EST. This is thought to be the work of Ossama binLauden. Pray. 9:45 a.m. another plane crash into the Pentagon.The city of NY is shut down. The White House has been threatened with a terrorist attack. No word on the source of the threat. Palastinians deny involvement. US says they're not funded or capable. ALL U.S. air flight has been grounded by the FAA. and worse...

excell, both towers have collapsed. from the air, there is so much smoke, you can't see Manhattan.people are pouring into hospitals, many to help & dontate blood. this is the only online publication I've been able to access: http://dsc.discovery.com/news/news.html

another plane crashed about 80 miles south of Pittsburgh around 10 a.m., it is not know if this is a related incident.Yassar Arafat sends the US a message of condemnation regarding this assutl. Top of the Pentagon has caved in. Aircraft crashed into the court yard area. All military personal in DC on threat level delta. Highest state of the military. All US military on Alert Status Charlie. All museums and monuments in/around DC closed. Tourists still trying to get in.

now imagine those pictures with NO visible towers...they're gone. the skyline is obscured by the smoke.United Airlines flight # 93 has crashed in the vicinity of Camp David. Today is the anniversary of the Camp David Peace Accords.

FAA is now confirming there are SEVERAL planes unaccounted for, evidently hijacked.3-4 know to be involved in this attack. No exact # of missing planes being reported.

I'm in shock. My daughter lives in Manhattan. She called me hysterical. I have not been able to get through to her since but know she is safe. She is within walking distance of the World Trade Center. She watched both on TV and from the roof of her building as the buildings burned and collapsed. She says it is absolute chaos in the city. My nephew just started school at NYU withing walking distance of her apartment. The school has been evacuated. He too is fine. My only worry now is that she will also be evacuated but she has many friends in other parts of the city.This is absolutely unreal. I'm not a militant person but I want the SOB's that did this to pay. Please pray for the United States and all those families who have lost their loved ones.

bcarey, that your daughter and nephew are safe is the only good thing I've heard for hours. I'm trying to reach a good 'net friend who works in a 'scraper in NYC...just got word, she's in Canada.Just caught a new brief that Palastinians were celebrating Tuesday a.m. (p.m. there now) and passing out candy when they heard about this attack. I don't care how much you hate a peoples, to wish death is pure evil. I can't even wrap my mind around the numbers, the millions of people being effected by this tragedy...the changes to our freedoms...our ability to trust.
