Hey... i am trying to create a site template which consists of 2 frames... 1 is the main page or website design layout really.. and in the centre i want leik a scroll box which views seperate frames .. u know so when u click an option in the menu it loads a little frame in the scroll box.

everythings set up i just need help doing this one thing before i can go any further with my site... i use dream weaver mx 2004

i have msn messanger ( [put e-mail in profile] ) if u think u can help me jst email me or add me cause ideally i would leik to be able to ask questions on this prob... am a very curious person.. have managed to learn so far by scavaging code from other templates and editing... changing and [censored] up code lol but im gettin the hang of most things :D thanx for your help

I think you're asking how to set up an in-line frame, yes? maybe something like -

<iframe name="name" src="page-which-appears-in-the-frame.htm" marginwidth="10" marginheight="10"
height="300" width="400" title="Iframe page" scrolling="yes" align="middle"
border="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>

hey thanx... yea thats the code i want but how do i get um the menu.. on the defualt frame to load the page context frames in the 'iframe' and not have to save each page with a defualt frame around it? :s ...heres the url you can see my pron easier from looknig at the site.. angelfire.com/falcon/mmor/index.html

Using the above example, in the <head> </head> tags you can use <base target="name">

sorry, I am so stupid lol so which frame (main or the numerous context frames)do i place that code on and where about (do both codes merge together?) ...god yous guys i am so sorry lol im a real ameture at this stuff :'(

You put that on the page which contains the frame i.e. the page which remains the same when you click a link if I remember correctly.

cool, um im gona try it.. se if it will work but i'd be greatful if anyone would please make me a teeny 2 page site with the frame idea :D pleeez!

I know you guys are really important and have other more earning tasks to do... i jst wanna see an xample of the code cause ive worked really hard on ma design of ma site and i don wanna screw it up by putting code in tha wrong lines or frames :s i have a really bad memory and id end up deleting sumthin i needed.

ok um the I-frame thingie has worked... but i am still lets with my problem of wen i click on the links in the main frame it takes me to the context page but without the master frame around it :'(

I made a 2 page website with template, index and 2 context pages... would anyone be so kind as to ammend it for me as it demonstrates my problem? please download it and help im really stressed out bout this lol... angelfire.com/falcon/mmor/frametest.zip

the ammended site would also be good as a tutorial for other bumb asses leik maself lol :D

can u get baned for placing urls on this message board? if so im soz smile i just really need help please
