I have been bouncing the idea of creating a network of sites. All the sites would be grouped by similar themes so you would have sites about parenting for example all linked together. The idea is that visitors have easy access to similar quality sites and sites in the network access to interested visitors.
I am looking for feedback from everyone. Firstly do you know of any simialar networks? Secondly would you be interested in joining such a network?
Please don't post replies likeit sounds like a link farm or webring as there will be strict rules on accepting sites to maintain quality. To administer this each site will be regularly vetted. This will ensure that spam sites, scraped sites etc would not spoil the network for the members and visitors.
I will be posting this message on several forums to get wider feedback.

sounds kinda like a directory.

sounds like categories in a directory.

Sounds like some scheme to manipulate PageRank.
You know that Google can spot a PageRank Island from several light years away?
