The current hopeless situation (Internet connection) in Asia has been described as "back to 1997". We will have to go back to the tubes - not YouTube - tvs.

hahaha SportsGuy, that's too funny: "Can't wait for my CRT TV to bite the figging biscuit - been going for over 10 years now and just won't die..."

I have a 19" tube TV from 1992 which was probably made in 1988 or earlier that still works... just won't die. Got another one from 1998 (brand new at the time), 27" Sony that will probably still be around in 2020. LCD's are getting cheaper, but can't get one until at least one of the other ones goes south.

LCD computer screens, the 16:9 ratio 22" screens, are cheap too! Couldn't believe when I saw a nice one just 2 weeks ago for $400. Those babies were costing $900 or more just over a year ago.

How many LCD screens do you go through per a period of time? (a question to the masses of people visiting here). One LCD screen a year, one per every 2 years, longer lasting? Or perhaps 2 screens each year?
