Hi, new to this forum, just like to introduce myself. I'm based in Northampton Uk and work in the marine trade. Basically servicing, inspecting,delivering and buying and selling. My latest project is my web site which offers a free ad and feature ad facility. The site is only 2 months old and a bit slow to pick up hits. Its been and still is a steep learning curve! I think I've got the site how I want it, just a couple of tweaks to do. Its the SEO I've got to get to grips with now, so hope fully I should pick a fair bit of info from this site.
If anyone gets chance, could you have a quick look and see what you think.

Welcome to the forums Nigel!
This is a great place to learn the tips and tricks you'll ned to know to get things sorted.
Keep in mind, search optimization is game of inches, not miles, so it'll take some time, but it's worth pursuing...though I might be biased...LOL
Don't forget to try the Search function up above, too. If you have a topic in mind, this handy bugger can probably get you an answer quicker than most of us.

Welcome Nigel to SEF. Great place to be alive in 
Had a quick look at your site and it seems pretty SE friendly. As SG said, it takes time (a long time) to see some reasonable results. So I'd probably suggest you take up a hobby like fishing, sailing etc to pass the time. And in 8-12 months, who knows!
One thing though. It's probably a good idea to embed your email address in an anti-spam email displayer javascript to avoid spam bots from harvesting your address. Unless you don't mind getting emails about how to enlarge your .....
