Got spammed by uwematt too.
“asamoah_good” is also sending spam via PM.
It's interesting that the spammer is thought to be a male (the gonads bit mentioned). But then I suspect that the majority of spammers are male anyways. (an observation)
However, the spam does bring up one valid issue of others buying up expired domains. I really hate these domain name hording companies that buy up huge numbers of expired domains only to put up those stupid garbage directory sites tying up domains that others could use for something useful. Instead we have all these useless web sites littering the net.

Tell me about it. Can't stand these meaningless directories either :[. But like FFA pages, I think they'll become obsolete. Only a matter of time.

Both sexes have gonads, but in this instance I was referring to the male version....
as in "This spammer always wanted to be a farmer. Give him a couple of acres".

True Hampstead. But usually that term is used for the male gender when kicks are involved (for obvious reasons).
As for those junk sites becoming obsolete: until the SE's deliberately monitor that crap, they won't go away. There's always someone who will click those stupid links of ads so that the junk site owner make's a few dollars per month (enough to justify keeping the domain).

I can't understand what would make somebody think that spamming here would be productive...

80degreez, me neither. Spamming webmasters must be the single hardest way to get traffic to one's site. Newbs are much more likely to go to a site via spam. You'd think that spammers would target people more ignorant and friendly to spammers.
