For those of you who've been around for awhile, I think about Jim every time I come into this forum to listen or learn. It's a touch-stone of reality.

For those of you that never had the opportunity to access these forums while Jim ran them, check out the archives to get an idea of what he was trying to do.

The SEF forum still remains as the most current posting place for just about everybody with a competent question. The administrators and moderators here are up to speed and concise in their responses, from the simple to the complex.

So the new year's toast from me is:

Raise your alpenstocks on high,
Jim Wilson will never die,
Ever onwards, never rest,
Climbing up Mount Everest.

Huh, I thought of Jim Wilson just yesterday - great guy. I'll gladly raise my glass in a toast to that man.

Many moons ago I thought I wanted to learn all about web work and quickly felt overwhelmed with all I would need to learn.... I emailed Jim, not knowing who he really was and his vast knowledge. He emailed me back with very encouraging words to keep striving. I am so grateful smile

I was privileged to speak with him once via phone. I'll never forget that. Not long after that he announced his condition (either via newsletter or forum) and that was quite a surprise to me.

Does anyone here remember what Jim use to say - it started like this - ( to the tune of lions, bears & witches oh my ! )
spiders, robots and........ oh my !
I have tried for sometime to dig that saying of his up and can't find it or remember the last part - I always thought it was "cute" and would like to recall it smile
