I have a friend looking for a good Real Estate hosting service that is SEO smart. The current service is great for putting up listings etc. but is about 5 years behind in meeting SEO needs.

The business is located in the Sacramento CA area and they want to do basic support themselves (listing data entry, special topic pages, etc.).

Anybody have any suggestions? I will pass them on.

That's pretty specific glenn.

For the most part, what's needed is an SEO-compliant content management system built specifically for the needs of the real estate market.

I'm nowhere near that vertical, but in over 7 years, I haven't heard of anything like which you seek.

Might be best served by either a custom solution, or an off-the-shelf solution that gets tweaked to be seo friendly.

In the end they will need to remember that that vertical is extremely competitive with lots of big players backed by big dollars, so it won't be cheap to create the platform if that's the case.

with the web hosting do you mean a web hosting provider spezialized in real estate ? or someone that will do everything for that real estate business like content building,seo,web hosting etc..?

First, they want a firm that knows the real estate market and has standard services designed for the typical small/midsized real estate office. But, also a service that knows about and allows at least basic SEO. For example, the current service does not provide for unique title tags, meta descriptions, H1 headings, image alt attributes, keyword urls, site maps, 301 redirects, page visited statistics, keyword searched statistics, etc.

There are lots of firms out there providing the first bit. What they are looking for is one or two that also provide at least basic SEO.

I mentioned Sacramento California area because they need MLS (real estate listing service) access.

Yes, the needs are rather specific. But, I was hoping that by asking a SEO community we might find someone who knew of a SEO friendly service.

They would rather review a short list of SEO friendly services than sort through a very long list of Real Estate services and wantabes.
