Hi

Firstly, I'd request everyone to run to my website and buy something smile

then, see if you can help: I have built this website (found on profile) myself, I have no training etc... what so ever so please excuse me if it's not up to standard. But the site doesn't appear under any of my keywords on any search engine, I'm on pay per click which costs a bomb! I've noticed that my site comes up in msn for terms like "donna dual motors". Why has it listed me like that and not under my keywords??

I'd be greatful for any help!
Gavin

I suggested your link to be:
<a href="
http://yourdomainnamehere.com"

But you have linked as:
<a href="
http://yourdomainnamehere.com/"

I don't understand that comment at all.

When linking to a folder I have always used and recommended that the trailing / be added to the link.

Without it, you will have a redirect from www.domain.com/folder to www.domain.com/folder/ but if your default site name is only domain.com (without the www) then there will be an intermediate step in the redirect: it will go via domain.com/folder/ before the final arrival at www.domain.com/folder/ and that would be a very bad thing for most sites.

Always include the trailing / if the URL points to a folder!

"I don't understand that comment at all."

That would be because you are looking at a thread that is 6 months old. At the time that advice was correct, in respect of the way he was listing links on his pages and what was happening with MSN, at that time.
