Is it just me or are you seeing the Beta search engine being used as the default more and more recently?

That seems to be what's happening - I've also heard that they are going to throw the switch fully on Feb1.

It seemed to have been rolled out slowly, but once rolled it out probably will stay is my guess. They probably didn't want to say a definite date in case when they rolled it out something went wrong with the full system under load. Once they're satisfied that their data centers can handle the current load, and that the system isn't going to crash, they will probably announce it. They don't want to have a repeat of one of those frequent events where bill gates is announcing some new product or feature on windows, at press conference, and when he boots up the demo version gets a blue screen.

Ive been seeing steady Beta results from MSN UK now for the past 3 days. Looks like the UK results are stable at least.
Some promising results and hits BTW

Just checked one of my newer sites in msn.com and ranking #1 for my keyword - wow! Needless to say this site hardly even exists in google 'cos it is 6 months old and sandbagged.
So Bill gets my vote over Larry and Sergei today. I am very unhappy with Google so delighted if Microsoft can scare them up a little.

MSN is now out of Beta.
Results for me are fantastic on MSN.com.
Just one BIG problem. The GEO/Localization they have done is total rubbish.
If you like where you are on the SERPS then just go to a non-(your country) version and try the search again.
Get the picture, you don't exist outside your own neck of the woods.
That may be fine for a plummer or whatever but we live in an international world and for those who want to be seen and sell evertywhere this new MSN really stinks...

Ah, the fickleness of SEOs. Just remember, unless MSN results are as good as or better than Google's the public ain't gonna be interested. So it doesn't matter whether you're at the top or not.

I think that MSN is doing a far better job for the public... the results are fresh and they are relevant... I'm seeing a little less rubbish & a little more relevance in the results. (less directories etc.)
I would have to say though that the MSN results are very content orientated rather than off site factors weighing largely - this may be a rather naive approach to search...
but then again I am happy - so.

I am unashamed to admit I was voting with my pocket. I use google myself but if MSN is now gonna send me customers then Bill is my #1 guy for today.
I dont think the public will realise whether MSN results are better frankly - what percentage of people will switch away from google? Zero I think, but they may keep a few more that have msn as a home page.
Google sandbagging new sites has really annoyed me and smacks of standard corporate greed.

My positions are really good and I get no traffic from MSN yet, it dropped way down from when it was yahoo results. Still need to get a sense of who is using msn.
