In again - Out Again

I was elated yesterday when I found myself
on Page 1 for most of my key words. My site
is also on Page one at Google, All The Web, &
Yahoo.

Now today I am totally BURIED and can't even
find my company name listed.

Does anyone have something like the GOOGLE DANCE
page for MSN ? Or are they doing something like the
old Google dance as they sort things out ? Please
cc to my email. Thanks
Gil
Perplexed.

Make sure you turn off your cookies, or block search engine cookies when you use them, msn adjusts itself to your useage, at least it did.

Turn off cookies, then check your search terms again.

However, msn is currently not really done, it's an early release of what is still a beta product, that's what MS usually does, release stuff into the market well before it's actually ready to go, just to get their foot in the door, and in this case, to start doing realworld testing of their data and systems.

My keywords do fine but I get almost no traffic from msn, other people have different results. I got more when it was yahoo results.

Hi,

Yes, i've seen this happen most of the times. But dont worry. All you need to do is just keep a track of your listing. Try for the search words after 2-3 days, if your site isnt back (in all probability it should be) then you need to do something about it.

Meanwhile, try deleting the cookies, etc. Also, in the "Search Builder" ensure that you have the "Results Ranking set to default medium.

First of all, see whether you have made any changes to your content. What I experienced first hand was that, my site was ranked #2. But this was of the old cached page. When the site was spidered again, it went off the listings. So, find out if you have changed your content or something.

As far as indexing for MSN goes, I havent heard or come across it as yet.
