I started looking at msnsearch.com and noticed websites that get high ranks
in competitive areas, and not having any links from other sites!
how could that be?

Im dealing with that right now - what am I suposed to do go buy a domain and not build links so I can win @ msn,... I have a good site thats being treated like a redheaded stepchild by MSN - It looses to several sites with NO inbound links. The interesting thing is I only see it happen with commercial terms.
