I am systematically losing my website's listings in MSN at the rate of about 1 or 2 pages every 3 or 4 days. Over the past 2 months I went from a high point of having almost my entire site indexed (60 pages) down to about 23-24 pages currently in the index.

Has anyone else experienced this or do you have any explanations?

(Note: During this time I added an HTML sitemap and an XML sitemap specifically for Google, and Google has indexed my entire site and Yahoo is close. Site is still Sandboxed.)

Neither me nor my clients have experienced that.

Could it be a duplicate content issue? Could these pages be regarded as near duplicates of other pages on your site or other sites?

Hi OAC,

No, the content of the pages nor the HTML are similar at all (the site is in my profile). After adding the Google XML sitemap and a generally HTML sitemap for all the other engines, my Yahoo and Google indexed pages increased, but MSN seems to be acting funny. My site seems to have stabilized at 24 pages (out of about 60) indexed in MSN..home page appears for a week or two, then disappears etc.

Very strange...

Can you post the names of 2 pages that have gone missing? eg this_is_the_name.htm (i.e. no URLs)

Alternatively, send me a PM with them in it.

I'll take a look and see if I can see anything.

Thanks OAC--that won't be necessary right now (plus, 22 pages went missing, not 2) These pages were indexed almost immediately after completion, ranked very well, and then vanished. If things dont work themselves out, I will pass along a few pages for you to check out.

Thanks.
