Can anyone tell me why it is fairly easy to get a page 1 ranking on MSN.com but virtually impossible on MSN.co.uk? I have a number of page 1 rankings for my Spanish property site on MSN.com but the same pages are nowhere on MSN.co.uk although I keep submitting them. Any suggestions would be greatly helpful as I am trying to sell Spanish property to British people and I am sure most of them would use msn.co.uk rather than msn.com
Thanks for your time Needahand

My site is hosted from the US and I am based in Spain - do you think this would affect my ranking on msn.co.uk in any way?

That is exactly what I'm saying. Especially in the light of what you say about being highly placed with MSN.com.

I know that is the case with Google, but have never heard of it in connection with MSN before.

Whether it is or isn't the case with MSN, I'd move hosts to the UK if that is your primary market or you will never do anything with Google which currently accounts for around 70% of all searches in the UK.

Anyone else got any thoughts on this?

Do you think I would need to swap hosting to UK or would it help to just get a .co.uk address?

Swapping hosting is going to be easiest.

I agree with Philh on this, I'm guessing your domain is a .com too? .com, .biz, .net and whatever else are general (non-country specific) and therefore are effected alot more by where the site is hosted, if you have a country specific, then it kinda mix and matches :s lol
