are there any companies out there that might be like diamonds in the rough that aren't that well know. I have this long history of dealing with companies that never pay me ( zonify, Valuead, webcounter, popuptraffic ). And a couple others that I'm crossing my fingers still waiting for checks ( Focusin, popupad.net, and saybyebye.net ). I applied to Fastclicks but they denied me, when I asked why they said it was because I didn't have a privocy policy, so I put one of, and then never heard anything back. Applied to Adtegrity never heard anything back. Same goes for a couple others. I get between 1.5 and 2 million hits a month ( roughly 125,000 unigue ). The rate doesn't matter, all I care about it just getting paid. I'd rather make 3 cents /1000 impressions, and get paid then 50 cents and not.

Have you considered applying for the Google AdSense program? It's still pretty new and there aren't alot of details on how the payment system works, but everyone I know who has set it up has been very happy with the payoff.

Well, of the ones you mention, I know FocusIN pays... but at $.05 CPM you won't see a check this millenia. wink

FastClick, BurstMedia, and TribalFusion are all at the top of the list for CPM providers; all have been confirmed to pay (and reliably). All three are somewhat picky on the sites they accept. If you throw your website URL in your profile (if appropriate) we might be able to give some advice on getting accepted. ValueClick is a CPM/CPC hybrid, and while their rates are definitely lower than the three networks mentioned above they also pay reliably.

Regarding FastClick, they probably won't answer directly via e-mail about the changes you made. Give it a few months (from your origninal rejection, and fixing the problems) and reapply. I'd imagine that they get enough "but why won't you accept me" e-mail that they don't spend alot of time trying to answer it.

thejenn also mentions another viable option, AdSense. The ads are CPC, not CPM.. but the both the rates and CTR are much better than your average CPC program. It hasn't been around long enough for people to get checks yet, but Google's large enough that they couldn't really stiff people w/o a fair amount of bad press.

With as many impressions as you are talking about, you might also be able to do internal sales, depending on your content and audience. You could set up AdRotation software, sell as much as you can.. and use the networks and AdSense to fill in the rest of your inventory.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm probably going to try Adsence, although I am a little gun shy for PPC programs. I personally don't think I've ever clicked a banner ad in my life. I go to a website for what's on it, and don't even look at the banners even when they are infront of my nose, and I'm always afraid that's the same state of mind everyone else has. I signed up for clickxchange, but it's sort of freaking me out. I signed up for a CPM campaign ( for 0.05/1000 ) says the person has over $1000 in their account to pay people, I've had 14,000 impressions with it so far today, and the account has $0.06.

And as far as focusin goes, for some reason at I actually get pretty good rates with them. My CPM banner campaign is paying 0.21 /1000. where it lists the seperate companies, my lowest one is 0.08 and my highest is TELUS Velocity Q2 -2003 - Shaw at 0.36 ( and that's also the one that's served up the most impressions by far). But the pop ups are only paying 0.47 /1000

With the number of impressions you're talking about, you should be able to better than $.21 CPM, regardless of your content type. With a popular and targeted subject area.. far.. far better.

While not all users do that, it's a somewhat common mindset for avid searchers. The thing is, the AdSense ads can even be somewhat interesting.. because of how targeted they can be, and because they include more of a description than your normal banner. I was suprised myself that they were getting as decent of a CTR as they are.

Yes, do not use ValueAd - nothing but a scam. I am owed over $1,200 and they haven't paid one cent. Never answer emails either.

Repeat - do not use ValueAd
