anyone ever worked with budsinc.com? I know the guy posts over at geekvillage but you can never get honest answers over there from companies they are partnered with ( like SI). I applied, and got in. But it seems a little sketchy. The company phone number goes to a house. My email came from Mike, but the phone number is registered to Abraham ( at his house). The whole set up of the thing, 3 different pay scales, one for a banner with 1 pop up per 24 hours, another with a banner and 2 pop ups per 24 hours, and another with a banner and a pop up per banner seems A LOT like saybyebye.net and Adoptimal. Both of which counted about 8-12% of my impressions ( only about 40% of the unique impressions) And I never got paid from either of them. So I'm sort of weary. I've had 5 straight back experiences with advertisers. the only one who ever actually paid was Focusin ( and zonify, but I had to drop them because I couldn't keep up the CTR which is pretty hard when the only banner was ancerstry.com

Rates seem kind of low to start with.. but I guess that depends on what you could get elsewhere, too. smile Personally - I'd go for more.

Regarding the company, I'm also interested to know if anyone has worked with them - I can't find any additional information anywhere .. no websites, no newsgroup posts, etc.

My overall feeling in cases like this is to hang back and see what comes up.

So it's been a couple weeks, and I tested budsinc out. Not good times. Not good times at all. First I Signed up for the 0.30/cpm for banner with 1 pop up per 24 hours. So first day put the code in, looking good. Impression count looks good. Then out of no where they kept having large 3-5 hours chunks when it didn't record anything. I emailed them and asked what the deal was, the only thing I got back was a form letter saying the impressions are done in rea time updated every couple minutes. . Well great, super, BUT, that still doesn't explain why I got 4,000 impressions at 8:00, 4,2000 at 9:00, 3,900 at 10:00, then nothing from 11:00-2:00. So I emailed them again, and got the same letter back.

Then after a few days ( after I was getting only roughly 65% of my impressions counted) The banner started spitting out TONS of pop ups, not just 1 per 24 hours, but 4-6 PER impression. So once again I email them ( because calling does nothing, they list a phone number it never goes to a live person It sounds like the voice mail on someones cell phone). They tell me that they changed the way they do things, I now had a choice between banners with a billion pop ups for 0.57cpm. Or just banners for 0.09, or banners below the fold for 0.05 or skyscrapers for 0.10. Or just pop up hell for 0.40.

So I opted for none and took the code off the page. I guess I'll just stay with focusin. I happier with them then anyone else I've used. I've gotten paid, I emailed them to ask it they could take out the pop ups tied in with the banners, and with in 20 minutes they were gone.

But Budsinc. gets a big thumbs down
