I just signed up with Trafficswarm - didn't cost anything, so why not? Now they're pestering me with an offer to buy credits at 50% off their regular price. Supposedly a holiday special, but I know how the hucksters work, and I'm sceptical. Anyone have any experience with these guys?

no good from my experience. Vistiros coming from there only want to increase their own credit only.
If u want targeted visitors who are interested in buying, don't spend on it.

I agree with jimsunseo. I currently use trafficswarm in addition to marketing efforts. However I recieved one sale from traffic swarm. The theory is bogus. Your visitors are almost never interested in your product or idea.

i think trafficswarm is dead, i receive like 10 visitors per day (although i have 300+ credits), and the visitors views my page for maximum 10 seconds and after that they leave.
same story with stocktraffic

So the free traffic sites dont work :- So what other methods do we have if I need some targeted traffic? any recommendations ?
I have seen some websites that provides traffic a price. Now, most of them make it as a popunder banner like traffic. Is that any good ?

nope not good at all, and if they get you traffic with pop under you are lucky
because as i saw the visits that come from this type of website are generated
so if you buy a package a 10.000 visitors, you'll se them delivered to you in about
2-3 hours with an average visit of 3 seconds.
You'll have no sales at all !
Notice: This is my personal oppinion !

you will get nothing from this service. From my experience, all visitors just come and leave at once! (If they are real visitors).
In case your site is information site, and try to boost up the page view for selling pay-per-view advertising, you may try this. But it is no good to your advertisers. So, think twice.

I have used traffic swarm for over two months now and I have not seen an significant changes. I choose business/finance category for traffic and got like only 2-5 visits a day with 250+ credits

Yeah..pretty much all of your visitors that you get from trafficswarm aren't looking at your website for leisure, but just to get them credits themselves.

Guides don't have the ability to nuke spam in this software, pbhulipo. We just report the graffiti, then someone comes around to paint the walls in the middle of the night. The call them 'Bots, but I'm still convinced it's gremlins.

I think the answer is simple: subscribers to traffic swarm are just trying to SELL you their affiliate links and stuff. Not buyers. The best sales are the ones targeted to the "general" public or average joe on the Internet, not marketers. With exceptions, of course. My best luck in sales is selling to non-marketing internet users. They are not trying to figure out how you do things so they copy what you do. It only makes sense.

In my opinion IF you want TERGETED traffic you have to use OVETURE otherwise you have to build links by writing ALOT of letters to MANY MANY webmasters to get links. Eventually your site will groe in rank. Also Google wont give you time of day unless you have your site optimized. Just my advice.

shanemiller is right. If you want targeted traffic that will buy your products or services you need to use Pay Per Click like Overture or Google's Adwords program.
Or go after organic search engine rankings by building a great site with great content--then optimize your site and get links.

:D I know you all think that traffic swarms may be ineffective, but most of the sites offer free hits to sign up, like 1000 or so.
To some degree it is untarged traffic, but I have found they have driven alot of visitors to my website, obviously some of them are alot more effective than others.
I think the key to marketing any website is to utulize a number of different methods, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Submission, Traffic Swarm programs, Forums, you name it, just like when you invest your money, investing your marketing in different areas will help you to determine what works for your site.
Someone said that marketing your website to other webmasters is ineffective... ? Well at least most of those people actually have some money to splurge, instead of ineffective bulk mailing that can get you banned by your ISP and even fined.
Definately do some research, try to find programs that give you statistics so you can see what works for you.
I'd try also searching the internet for "Showsell.pl" if you want a cgi banner script for your website that you can fully moniter and look after yourself.
If you would like to see a number of different autosurf programs available try [Link is in Profile - Ron]
Personally I have tried purchasing targeted traffic, adwords, seo and so on and I find that trying out different methods will most definately help you to see what works best.
If you are trying to keep things local, I'd suggest you search for online classifieds in your area, there are usually quite a few sites around that will allow free advertising in any given area.
Before purchasing large amounts of advertising, I'd suggest trying the most basic offer first and see how that works before you go spend your hard earned money on something that could be a waste of time.
Most websites say they are going to make you a success if you use their programs, I mean who wouldn't if your trying to sell something, you want to say "I'm the BEST!" because the market is swamped with so many choices these days.
I'd also be careful about signing up to affiliate programs that are a waste of time or the types that will annoy the visitors to your site.
All in all, I am no super professional at this game, I don't believe that many people truely are. However I have been using the internet now for about 8 years and always have enjoyed website design as a hobby. I have found putting a personal edge to your site makes it more effective, as people can relate to real things.
Hope this can help a few people, this forum is great!

Man, I'm sure glad I entered this forum. I used Trafficswarm for a couple and like to have wore my fingers out trying to get points. I give it up. You make me realize I was right.
