I want to add additional content to my web site and found a site that offers me the abiity to add their articles. Problem is their articles are already used by other sites word for word.
If I add these articles, will google treat the page as a regular or give it less value cause its the same content on other sites?
Don't want to waste time adding the articles if google won't list them.

What kind of site do you have? what kind of content are you looking for? I would think you would be able to get someone to write some original content very cheap....

Some of these article providers give you them in a java script file as well, which of course aren't readable by search engines.
You could always write some articles yourself and then submit them to these same ezine lists.

What has worked well for me is asking people to write articles for my website in return for the credit and url/email links in the footer of the page.
The article writer gets a couple of benefits - pure PR (in the ancient sense of the word), relevant traffic and a good link back to his own website which helps his own Google PR.
You of course get good, original content.
Couple of points I always make though - content must be generic, e.g. focussed on the topic NOT focussed on the company and may or may not be accompanied by contextual advertising. (Suppose you get an article from an estate agent. Adsense will pick up the theme and serve ads for other estate agents.)
Another benefit to this is you will be contacting companies in your region inviting them to benefit from an effective public relations excersise. What a great way to meet new advertisers...

I've written a number of articles that you're welcome to use. Providing you keep the copywright and provide a link back you can format them however you wish. If you're interested drop me a PM.

I find that using reprint articles works for me. You just have to do a little extra work and change the metatags for each individual article page. This is a lot of work, but it works, especially in Google. Just make sure that each article page has a clear route to get back to your main page and that it is related to your site. Good luck.
