    Hi
I am new to this forum and hope you can help me.
I have an affiliate site for online casino, and I of course I want as many people will get to it.
till now I used PPC advertising methods in overture and in Google.
now in the end of this month, they will stop all gambling ads.
and now I am looking hard for other advertising options.
first I payed Ineedhits.com some 50$ for insert me in all search engines (a bit SEO), till now I do not see any benefit from it.
I am looking for other opeion and find trafficlogic.com which want a lot of money for better SEO, and as far as I see in this forum you dont recommend them so much.
I am checking other options like guaranteed hits (there are so many...), and it is about 2000$ for millions hits (you dont recommend them too), and saw that there are many options - banners hits, pop under, emails, and I dont know if to use them, and if yes with what option? (I dont understand why pop under is the most expensive, there are so many who dont like it).
while looking in Jims forum, there are so many thing I should learn on how to advetise my site, but I just dont know where to start from.
I know that this post is very important to all who have gambling site.
I would just need a bit guide from you, where should I start from?
    what should I do now?
which are the best advertise options?
I know that I can find all I need just from reading this forum, but it will take me few years to do so.
if you guys can just direct me to the post relevent to me, and give me some start. I will do the rest from there.
BTW, if you can look at my site and give me some recommendation how to make it better to draw people it would be great.
    thanks a lot in advance
    Johny

    Hi again
I see that nobody gives me an answer, I was afraid my post was too long.
so if you guys can just give me a quick start on the following issues, it would be great:
1 - all the guaranteed hits sites - do they worth my money?
2 - what is the best way to ad - pop up (under), banner exposure, benner hits, email?
3 - what is DMOZ, should I start to SEO it, if possible?
4 - what are the other PPC options I have, after google and overture gone for me?
5 - guide to SEO, what should I do and how long will it take to see results?
6 - what others advertise options do I have else in the web?

referral to relevant post would be great too.

    thanks

Ehh, they do work but the traffic is usually useless. The quality of traffic from a guaranteed hit service would not be of near quality of "most" pay per click traffic. Don't get me wrong, there are some useless ppc engines also.

2 - what is the best way to ad - pop up (under), banner exposure, banner hits, email?

E-mail and Pay per click in my opinion although banners seem to be quite effective for many gambling companies, perhaps because of the high animation. Have you thought of trying CPA programs (Cost per Action)?

3 - what is DMOZ, should I start to SEO it, if possible?

Dmoz (dmoz.org). A human edited directory similar to yahoo but is controlled by volunteers as opposed to paid staff. Best of all, it FREE!!! Visit http://dmoz.org

4 - what are the other PPC options I have, after google and overture gone for me?

There are many quality 2nd/3rd tier pay per click search engines that can generate a substantial amount of traffic to your site. Try visiting www.payperclicksearchengines.com. We have definitely noticed a significant increase in gambling related sites signing to promote with us so it’s been quite interesting lately.

5 - guide to SEO, what should I do and how long will it take to see results?

Usually a few weeks but up to a few months. I cannot provide a guide but perhaps since I have started the replies, a more experienced SEO can reply.

Yeah I think it was the post length, kind of straining on the eyes wink

    Dear a2zcasino,

Unfortunately, all of us working for a gambling company are in the same position you are in this moment. What vary from one to another is how big the SEO department is, and how experienced these people are. This may sound rude, but with these changes many little companies will disappear, you will survive in the long run if:

Have the money to invest in other marketing techniques (traditional marketing, viral marketing, guerilla marketing, etc.)

    Have the right team.

Have the know-how, and so on...

My recommendations are try to optimise for Google, look for other markets (Asia, UK, etc.), submit to dmoz.org (btw you don't know how hard is to get indexed by dmoz), submit to any possible directory and search engine you could find and start looking for new technologies.

    Hope it helps,

    McCarron

I don't understand why people keep talking about DMOZ as if it was a magical solution to any website's problem.
DMOZ is crap. They list you whenever you want, you have to almost beg to get listed, and for what? I submited a couple of sites, They are now included in a webpage with about 80 other sites, and it is a PR0 page. I aren't receiving more than 10 visitors per month from DMOZ, no PR help either.
    Don't bother with them.

There may be a reason for your site being PR0. I have noticed that to get out of the PR0 is much more difficut and is more time consuming to move from 1 to 2. But for sites of PR1 or more a link from a PR10 site can considerably help their pr/position. Also, the more sites listed in your category the less relevant google will consider your link.

I don't consider dmoz a waste of time. It is a pain to get into though. This is IMHO.

I hope a2z and the mods don't find this off-topic, but are you an affiliate of Phoenician Casino a2z? and if so, would you be able to send me a link to a sign-up page for them (You can put your affiliate id on that link if you want, I dont care).

I went to their site and couldn't find anything about signing up with them sad

7Search is still allowing casino advertisers (gambling related sites) into their network. A very extensive reach (35% of the top 150 SE's in English speaking countries) and much lower bid prices (try the Preview Bid Tool at payperranking.com) makes 7Search worth a shot.

There are still many smaller SE's that allow casino advertising.
