Recently I found one PR site that seems to be new one, but all press releases are manually optimized for search engines, which is not bad...

express-press-release.com

www.massachusetts-press-release.com

www.virginia-press-release.com

www.maryland-press-release.com

We have been through many of the sites listed and are happy with both:

www.24-7pressrelease.com
and
www.prweb.com
and
www.ereleases.com

They have all done well for us. PR Web we have found over the last 6 or 7 months start to become quite competetive in bidding, so have done a few on 24-7pressrelease.com.

We always keep our eyes open for other opportunities.

I own a gourmet toffee company. I've used a combination of services, each with differing success.

prnewswire.com is great, covering targeted industry and general publications. You get sent out alongside the Fortune 500, which is a blessing and a curse: your news may not be what they're looking for on the day that it's sent out. We had great "pickup" of a recent release, with hundreds of sites including the press release and getting us great search engine ranking, yet none of those picking up the Press Release actually called us for info. Also, we actually sent the press release out through www.webwire.com, who releases Press Releases through PR Newswire. Webwire has a 300-limit PPC (Pay Per Click) in a package that gave us great visibility as a sponsored link for our selected keywords.

We also used www.prweb.com for the same release a few days later, and we actually got some direct response to be included in several trade magazines, which was fantastic! You get moved up in their rankings by paying money, but I couldn't see that the we paid made any difference - most of the hits on google are still from PR Newswire.

But we also went directly to the press in the Los Angeles area, bringing toffee samples and the Press Release. Personal attention works every time! We have a bunch of upcoming features in radio, tv, newspapers and magazines.

Lesson: using a Press Release is like sending up a flare in the middle of the ocean. Someone may see it and respond. Or not. Old-fashioned offline footwork in combination with online efforts is the key.

I use PR web once and it did nothing for SearchBliss. Waste of money inmy opinion.

Hi There,
I have found the following link for list of PR sites for you. You can choose them in alphabetical or Page Rank order & it is never too late to submit your FREE PR/Articles to them.

www.info-sales.co.uk/index.php?page=article

Also, SubmitYourArticle.com which I beleive submits it to 100's of the top article directories, ezines and other article web sites. They allow 8 per month and I find that to be more than enough to attract visitors.

For UK point of view:-

www.mediauk.com
www.pressbox.co.uk
www.articledepot.co.uk

I hope this helps & good luck with everything....

Kind Regards,
Lisa Chris,
