Is there some kind of script I need to accomplish that or is it simpler yet.
Any help is appreciated.

Bah. I must say, this default situation is "getting" frustrating. (As if we weren't there already, right?)

I'm using FastClick, ValueClick, WebsiteSponsors, FocusIN, and lastly various affiliate banners to fill the blank spots.

Right now i've got FastClick, ValueClick, and WebsiteSponsors in a chain. The CPM from all three is fair - but the number of defaults is almost silly. If all three default, i serve an affiliate banner (high CTR, low conversion).

FocusIN has no defaults, but the net CPM is a bit lower than the others.

Tough descision.

Has anyone come up with any creative uses for their defaults, if you can't seem to find something to fill them? Got to be SOME use for them.

Any network I might be missing for a 4th in the string?

If you're talking about having an auto-loading midi on your page without giving the visitor a control panel to turn it off, I beg you to re-think.

Many people (including me) find auto-loading midis intensely annoying. I've actually plugged an old pair of walkman headphones into my computer so I don't get jolted by those amateurs who think it's "cute" to force people to listen to cheesy sounding midis. What if I don't want to hear your music?

I have a personal site devoted to a specific breed of cat, so I spend a lot of time checking out other cat sites. You'd be amazed how many people think they have a really original idea by forcing "Cat's in the Cradle" or "Alley Cat" down your throat. And because the type of cat I have originated from Scotland, I've seen several sites with *bagpipe* midis. (Urgh!)

When I see that "importing movie" bar, if I can't click it off in time and you don't give me an option to turn it off, I'm outta there.

Midis do nothing but increase download time and are right up there with animated "under construction" gifs to brand your site as the work of an amateur.

I've got no banner networks to put on my sites showing about 500,000 ads per month but now I'm running safe-audit.com banners and getting

Exposures: 5,313 $0.00 $0.00
Click-throughs: 114 $0.00 $0.00
Order Forms: 25 $0.20 $5.00
Current month's total: $5.00

on my digimon site and

Exposures: 7,490 $0.00 $0.00
Click-throughs: 25 $0.04 $1.00
Order Forms: 0 $0.00 $0.00
Current month's total: $1.00

on my celebrity site

over the past 2 days

Well it beats nothing!!!

Well, our chain is Burst > Fast > Valueclick

With the rare exception of a decent performance in the last week or so, Burst is usually a case of 90% defaults. However, I'm astounded to say that the Fast deal is working out really well. It's a case of a CPM less than 50c but they're serving few if any defaults, so I'm not having to serve very many Valueclick ads. Good job too, if their CPC-only very low CTR is anything to go by.

Hi,
I'm using fastclick -> CJ in this order, means I choose selective ads from cj to fill defaults.
Surfout.com is relatively new website so if you have Any better idea, let me know.

Thanks all for sharing,
