Affiliate Manager, the best private "gated" industry forum and the ONLY real forum exclusively for affiliate managers was hacked and destroyed. Shawn built that manager community and it has become a primary information source for affiliate managers and service providers. Visiting that forum was a vital part of our daily routine and the loss of 2 years of valuable insight and posts is just, well… hard to even imagine someone could do this.
He's offering a $ 5,000 reward to anyone that can catch the perps.
Damn Hackers!!!
I just did a long blog about this (dont think I can put a link to my blog) so just thought I would share a bit here and VENT!

Forum was very likely restored from backup. The hacker probably wasn't caught--my guess on that one. Black hat hackers suck. They need to have their puters destroyed, be denied internet access and a nice big fat fine directly garnished from their paychecks weekly even if they are in their mid teens.

Nope the backup was never restored. 2 year of important info gone. He got new forum software and started over from scratch. Bet he makes sure this one is backed up and has more security though.
