Hi - I hope this is the right forum for this question!
We have an affiliate scheme and recently it's been brought to our attention that one of the affiliates we have (a successful one at that) is using iFrames to possibly make fraudulent clicks.
To be honest I don't really undersand how this works and don't even know if it's fraudulent or a perfectly legitimate piece of coding. But essentially this is what the iFrame says on his site (I've edited the identifiable pieces of info):
<iframe name="the-frame-name" height="1" width="1" scrolling="no" border="0" frameborder="0" src="http://link-to-affiliate">Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames.</iframe>
I've read that this type of thing can be used to set a cookie on a visitor's site whether they visit us or not and therefore the site owner will receive commission.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

Not quite sure if I understand the purpose of that iframe.
Is this an affiliate who is remunerated on a commission basis? - If yes, then I would not worry about it. If he generates real sales, then his method is (almost) irrelevant.
If this is an affiliate who is paid on a per-click (PPC) or per impression (PPM), then the iframe looks fishy.
