Hi,

As a way of generating interest and traffic on my website I would like to create a Wish List service. This is something that I have not seen on any other sites like mine and I think it owuld make my site stand out because I will have it and none of my competitors have.

From my point of view it will also get me more specific data on what my customers really like (enough to add to a wish list).

My problem is, I have used wish lists, but I have no idea how to create them. Can someone please give me advice on how best to do this or point me to any sites that expalin how to create them?

I have tried searching on it and have found hundreds of wish lists on the web, but not instructions on how to create them. I am using Front Page 2000.

Thank you,

Louise

Wish list / favourites is normally used on shopping websites where a registered customer can add a product to wish list and can come back later to buy it. This saves the hassle of finding the product again.

If i am right, you want users to be able to tell you what they are looking for (if they cant find it on the website). If that's the case, the simplest way is to use an enquiry form and hook it up with tons of formmail scripts available on the net. This would email you the request by the user.

Anything more than that, i am afraid you are going to use asp/php or something like that to achieve this.

Best way to start here is first to find out does your hosting supports server sided scripts and database. If not, then i guess you dont have much options.

hope this helps.
