Hello all,

When do you find is a good time to mail your Christmas newsletter promoting all the good stuff to buy? Before Thanksgiving (Nov. 17th) or after (Nov. 30th)?

Any thoughts on pros/cons of either? Any experience with one that would work better?

Thanks,
Josiah

Assumption on my part: the list in your question is in-house list (qualified list).

There are some companies that send out holiday-promo e-mails in May smile But these are companies that have very close relationship with their customers. For general rule of thumb, it's not early to start your promo campaigns in mid Nov.

Timing isn't as important as filtering your list. For example, if X number of people have already purchased from you between Oct 1st and the day of your filter, filter this group out as their motivation for purchase level probably is low due to the recent purchase.

Please do consider that I've very much generalized the issue for a sake of discussion. Your company's products might be high-repeat-purchase items, etc. Variables like the one I've just mentioned will determine the filter criteria smile

My most humble 2 cents and best wishes smile
