Hello webmasters,
Recently i launch a search engine,this is the first time for me to run a search engine. I am not sure how to promote it . So can you give me some ideas? Or share with me your experience? Thanks a lot !

If you've just launched it, use News wire. Have well written Press releases distributed through a good news wire.
This would bring you inquisitve visitors. Have a section on your site where they can leave feedback.
Your long term strategy would involve promoting it through PPC ads and building partnerships. Its always a good idea to invite industry experts (or publishing house representatives) to give reviews and feedback.
Of course if your search engine is good, word will spread and you'll start building loyal customers and worthy incoming links.
PS: It would have been a good idea to leave the url of the search engine in your profile so that members could go through it too!
There are numerous maketing strategies that can be adopted based on your end objectives.

Let's focus on the advertising promotion, which type of advertising will be better? Buy some exit pops? Or put my search box on some sites? I have no idea.
