A program I am affiliating for has decided to hire a service to take telephone orders for those not willing to provide credit details online. His estimate is that they're currently losing 20-25% of sales because they don't provide the option.

While I can certainly sympathize with his decision, I'm also wondering if I'm currently losing 20-25% of my commissions for the same reason. And if he provides a clear alternative to ordering, it's likely that even more people will chose this option.

So does anyone know of a way that telephone sales can be tagged with affiliate commissions? Other than simply asking the caller where she came from? (Chances are she probably won't even know)

Same question for check orders.

You might check into pay per call. The pay per call providers can provide you with one unique phone number for each affiliate or each keyword.

You might check with Miva or VoiceStar.

Pay per call is a bit different, but there is a way to track online leads to offline sales. It is done thru the use of unique phone numbers - which are used to track the source. An example is here - [link]

You might want to check out Conversion Ruler Conversionruler.com. Mainly meant for PPC/Web Marketing conversion stats, they also have offline ROI/conversion tracking solutions as well. I havn't tried it personally but I can vouch they have a very simple and streamlined ROI/Conversion tracking system for online marketing. Good luck smile
