I am looking at developing some customized databases/calculators for the Internet marketing industry.
I am looking for database software that lets me easily develop the database and then distribute it to others without them having to have a copy of the database software.
This means I can't develop it in something like MS Access or Open Office's Base because I don't want the user to have to go buy or download other software to use it. I need to be able to compile the database into an .exe file.
I looked at Brilliant Database some months ago and loved the software. At that time they sold it for $79 and it had all the features I needed. But when I looked at it again it looks like they stripped out the distribution feature and moved it to their $799 package.
My budget for this software is around $200. Any ideas or suggestions?]

Use flat files as your database. That's the best solution, imo.
