This is a forum for asking for help to a problem not for looking for employees

Noticed on my sites a few Chevrolet branding ads telling of their sponsorship of the Salt Lake City Olympics- ads served through Engage.

This seems like great news to me. Let's hope this is the start of all the big guys starting to do likewise.

Thats what ads are surpose to be for, telling people about something new not selling it. Once people know that something good is out there i'll then go and buy it!!!

How much is it to buy 1 30 second ad on TV. Here in the UK you could get about 3 million cpm ads shown instead of 30 seconds. At least with a banner someone is looking at it. How many of you have had your TV on and gone for a p*ss and missed the ads in the break?. And as for click throughs there a BONUS, someone sent straight to the checkout!. Because after all, by the time your TV programs done you have forgot about the good thing on TV.

Looks like GM is doing more than just Salt Lake City ads too! I see GM finance ads too!

This is exactly what most sites need. Too many sites on the net want instant conversions. As we have recently found out most banner ads don't do that very well. They want "classified section" results in from ads that are far better suited for branding purposes.

At current CPM rates a branding Ad campaign seems to be very viable.

I am currently running a privately sold campaign for a client at $5 CPM and IMHO he is getting ripped off big time. It's not my fault - I am running the ads in a very visible spot - people just don't click anymore. And the ad is not built for branding.

Are the GM ads designed with Branding in Mind?

Just noticed a Chevy Tracker ad in Burst RON. It's a pretty catchy looking (IMHO) branding ad. I can't imagine they're expecting a lot of direct sales out of it
This is very good news.

Also notice the new ad sizes poping up around Yahoo and some of the other major sites. Also good news. If Yahoo uses them people get used to them and won't complain when they become available to us mere mortals.

If only Yahoo had come up with popup ads first rather than them becoming infamous on Geocities.
