Does anyone know of any good companies that sell opt-in email marketing lists for certain categories? I realize these lists vary greatly in quality, but we are looking into email marketing now. Thanks!

Having researched a few lists that claim to be "opt in" on the website that is selling them, and having seen some of their sample lists, I can say that most of them were actually lists of email addresses that had been harvested from the web using bots to collect them: nothing "opt in" about them at all.
I can even show you which websites the email addresses were harvested from.
Be very careful.

Thanks, g1. This actually makes sense to me. The LAST thing that I want to send out is spam. But there has to be some legit lists out there. I know that there are lists for conventional paper mailings.
