Hi Everyone,

I’d just like to ask you all which people or books have inspired you most in your business? They can be business specific people/books or people/books from different areas, fact or fiction. Who and what has really inspired you to get where you are today?

Thank you.

My dad, for always reinforcing such thing as "good better best, always do your best to make your good better and your better best."

He was also an olympic team coach and had us cracking the ice at 4am every morning before school. Good principles of disciple in life carry through into business practice, in my experience.

I know of a 16 year girl (then) that wanted to buy a car. Her dad said "you get the money and buy one". So she started an online business and because she was a minor, had to run it under her dads name until she turned 18. She is bringing in a good 6 figure income now all online. She can't be over 19 yet.

I said to myself - if she can do it - so can I. Of course, I aint got no 6 figures either. But I'm working towards it. "Thats" inspiration for me!

One of my favorites is Vince Lombardi -- it's amazing how many great quotes he's had -- and how well these football quotes apply to business.

Successories has a small book called Motivation Lombardi Style that is packed full of great quotes.

Press On

Press on: Nothing in the world can take the place of perseverance.

Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

my inspiration in starting a business was my pure hatred of having a boss. Not that I hated my bosses but I hated punching a clock, being on time, requesting vacations, checking in, doing it their way, alarm clocks, being away from home, commuting, etc., etc.

...and YOUR work making THEM look good to their higher-ups, and THEY get the credit for it...

I'm with you, St0n3y. TOTALLY agree!
