I have a new directory, a niche directory if I may call it that since it accepts only websites offering prepaid products/services. How and where do I advertize to get siteowners to add their websites to the directory?
    I need your suggestions, please.
    Thank you.

Thats a good question. I do know of one company that sells DB's but as I'm new and dont know the Url address of the company I dont know if I'm allowed to post it.

I've been trying to optimise my search engine results to pull in visitors. I've also tried to get myself listed on the various websites about search engines and directories. You could also try google ad words.

The one thing I've found as my site is a niche site for the northwest of england uk is that of the 89 sites currently on there, 50 I put on whilst the other 39 are from visitors. Most of the sites submitted are not and have no connection to the northwest.

i'm not to fussed about the rogue sites as i want to see the directory grow and I've found it quite addictive checking to see if anything else has been added(sad I know).

Try contacting submission software services and other companies that offer search engine submission services to webmasters. I'm sure they'll be glad to add your directory listing; be sure to tell them how they can add their listing and the exact url for the form. One place to start is SubmitWolf, at www.trellian.com .

Also, you might also consider distributing a press release to the appropriate media outlets that cover your subject.
