I just got off the phone with positiontech. Basic Submit is REPLACING direct submit.

OK - so they're charging you for something you can do yourself?
I mean, YOU can submit anything you need to submit to anywhere relevant.
If this is for the search engine side of things, save your money - submitting to the engines is pointless. just get a few links pointed at your site from pages the engines already crawl, and they'll find you the way they prefer to - by following links.

agreed, but it is a fast way to be included if you have impatient clients/bosses etc.

I will always maintain it's better to educate folks than appease them...
Regardless of your approach on this, it won't speed the indexing process or help the rankings in any way.
Not knocking you for doing what you need to in your circumstances, just suggesting another approach.

right. I usually say "do you want it fast or do you want it right?"
Once and a while they say "fast" lol
