Can anyone tell me what the basis of the Interest bar shown on Google ad boxes is all about?

I believe it gets higher if you match up your creative with the keywords that it's listed under...but i'm not 100% sure...

The interest bar reflects the clickthrough rate. Adverts with high(er) ctr's will get the higher interest bar. This helps with keeping the adverts moving. You will note that you can't be priced out of a keyword/phrase. "Rank is determined by combination of CPC and clickthrough rate. If an ad is irrelevant to users, they won't click on it and it will move down the page. Your relevant ads will rise, at no extra cost to you." (From https://adwords.google.com/select/compare.html). Hope this helps
