One of our clients just signed up for a whole whack of adwords. We were on the phone and she was showing me how high she placed with some of them. When I typed in the words not only did i not see her ad but on some of them I saw no ads at all. On her comp there were many ads on most of them. She is in California and I am in Canada (I was looking at google.com though). Is this just a delay in updates? Anyone seen this before?

I am in Turkey, but my ads are set to display in US and Canada only. If I go to google.com, I don't see them, I think because Google recognizes my IP address as belonging to someone outside of my campaign's geographic selection. In order to see my ads, I have to use a cloaking service (like the-cloak dot com, for example), so Google thinks I'm coming from the US (or doesn't know where I'm coming from at all, and thus defaults to US, I'm not sure which one it is), and thus displays my ads.
Short story, try a cloaking/proxy service (search on google for anonymous surfing, cloaked surfing, etc), maybe you'll see the ads then.

Although there is a delay having changes replicate across Google's entire network; however, what Matt suggests is probably more likely in your case.

Thanks for the replies. I will give your suggestion a try.
