i know that all search engines are in the end affiliates of one another. Basically what you do is get a feed so you do have ppc results as a base and some cash flow to pay your affiliates. The next step is to get on the phone or e-mail and start directly contacting people who might be interested and telling them that you will put their results on top if they pay you however much. I dont believe a lot of search engines will go for it. They ll probably demand that you put their results on top. So in that case you can tell your potential advertisers that you are going to rank them according to the bid value. That should shut your feeds up. its a long process though and very painful but in the end the results coud be well worth it
about the site ...
think of what sets you apart from the rest of the ppc...is it your gui?...is it somehting else and stress that point...make sure your visitors know your strong points...so if you havent finished updating the site with the strong points that you have, you might want to wait till you are done. And then start signing up affiliates and advertisers.
