I have an adword group that contains two "keywords" -- [Lawsuit Loan] and "Lawsuit Loan." Google has put [Lawsuit Loan] "on hold" because it says [Lawsuit Loan] doesn't "perform well." As search terms go, [Lawsuit Loan] performs VERY well according to Overture's keyword tool. How can an extremely popular search term not "perform" well? Is this automated Google system doubletalk?

I should qualify this post by saying that I'm gearing up to BEGIN a PPC campaign -- all my adgroups are on "pause."

Thanks for any insights.

Mike :D

Google's system makes decisions based on their own data and nothing else. Regardless of how well a keyword may perform on their search partner sites or how many searches other tools such as Overture's keyowrd tool shows, if the CTR on Google search (or even their estimate of what it MIGHT be) is not at their minimum they will put the keyword on hold.

If this is a new account I recommend deleting any keywords that show on hold or in trial or your account may not ever get off the ground and keep running.
