Why would you care how many phrases you use? You only pay by the click and not by the number of keywords. Are you sure those are the only phrases you want?
What about wholesale plus auto, autos, automobile, automobiles, vehicle, or vehicles?
Do you sell trucks, different types of cars, specific brands of cars, specific models of cars, or specific years?
What about buy cars wholesale or cars for sale wholesale or wholesale prices on cars or wholesale priced cars and all the variations of those phrases and many more?
If you want to come up for ANY search that includes those two words put these keywords in your account:
wholesale cars
wholesale car
car wholesale
cars wholesale
These keywords are what Google calls broad match. With the above your ad will also come up if someone searches for wholesale sports cars or car priced at wholesale. With either of the keyword phrase types below they would not.
To use Google's phrase match put quotes around the phrase. This means those two words must appear in the search in that order next to each other. The phrases below would NOT appear for the two example searches I gave above but would appear for a search on wholesale car prices.
"wholesale cars"
"wholesale car"
"car wholesale"
"cars wholesale "
To use Google's exact match put brackets around the words. These will only trigger your ad if that exact phrase in that order is searched on with no other words in the search.
[wholesale cars]
[wholesale car]
[car wholesale]
[cars wholesale]
You will probably want to use all of the keyword phrases above unless there is some reason you want to limit who sees you ad. I strongly recommend you add negative keywords so you ads will not appear for things you do not have.
For example, if you don't sell trucks or SUVs put those words in as negative keywords either at the campaign level or in each ad group where the other keywords are. If you put them in with the other keywords put a minus (-) in front of each word like this:
-truck
-trucks
-SUV
-SUVs
Remember to use the singular and plural versions. If you only want to sell and not lease cars you will also want to put in negatives for that:
-lease
-leasing
If you don't finance you may want to add those too:
-finance
-financing
-rate
-rates
There are many more negatives you will want to add.
