    How important is good keyword research? Since Google gave us that tool to see if phrases are running I'm finding the disparity between bids on keyword phrases for the same product can run from under fifty cents to over $3.00 or more.

    That Quality message can be more an indication of heavy competition for that phrase than a landing page issue. Raising bids changes the message from Quality to "Although your ad is showing, its rank is not high enough to place it on the first page of search results."
