Hi

I just noticed my adsene site is not getting the correct adverts delivered.
They are not relevant.
How can I make Google deliver correct ads?
They had previously been on topic.

Meta keywords, title and description in my blog all contain the relevant keyword.

Thanks
Art

Art, what I'm about to say might come across a tad harsh, but please understand I'm not trying to single you out here, but before we even get to any ideas on why those ads don't seem to be showing properly for you, I simply have to point something out:

The website in your profile is: http://www.websites-uk.com

Naturally, I went there to see if I could see the problem you were asking about.

You are obviously talking about a different website, which is not any issue by any means, but then I noticed it...

You clearly sell services to businesses in a local area. Fair enough. But, do you think it's problematic that the website in your profile shows a serious lack of basic optimization?

Meta Titles used across this site:

<title>search engine marketing nottingham, notts, nottinghamshire,optimisation</title>

<title>search engine marketing nottingham, notts, nottinghamshire,derby,derbyshire</title>

<title>Untitled Document</title>

Quickly, I count 8 pages, and those metas appear on them - so what is being used it duplicated.

Also, the link to your privacy policy goes to a page about the importance of link building...this does not inspire confidence.

So, after seeing these basic things missing on this website, I went to a couple of the client sites you have listed.

Here's two from the short-list:

http://www.lajolieronde.co.uk/ - while a couple of the meta titles aren't what I would choose to run with, meh, that's a small-ish thing. I figured I'd check a basic item, which matters less these days, but still warrants a look-see IMO. What I check is to see where the non-www version of a domain resolves.

Really, it should resolve to the www version automatically.

In this case, it shows a page saying the site is under construction. This is not doing your client any favors, I'm sorry to say, as any link posted to the site without the www will have no value to the active site.

Next I looked up http://www.nurseryplay.co.uk/. Hmmm, in Google, the title line shows as "Index of..." - clicking the link doesn't show a website, but an index list of the files on the server. ...and what do I see in the list of gear on this server?

SEOElite - seo software - hmmm.

So, before I take a stab at answering you question about the Adsense ads Art, can you explain this "optimization work" that I can only assume you charged clients for?

I have to be honest Art, I'm concerned that you are charging clients and not delivering solid work for them. Please tell me I'm wrong.

I have a huge issue with folks taking advantage of clients and using software to "optimize" a client's website - a website the client is depend on to generate business. My real issue boils down to clients paying for services they think will help, only to get sub-standard work that does little to help them at all - and worse, they'll never really know...

I'll happily share what I know with anyone who asks - unless I know they are taking money for work they shouldn't be doing.

...and while I expect you'll be upset by this post Art, please remember, you asked the original question, the site is listed in your profile, it's not properly optimized and there are some pro SEOs floating around in here that would notice...

I read the tips and suggestions by others and by Google. I was very frustrated they were not working at all. My website is [link] --a web image showing engine which lets user search the images and it will display the returned result one by one without clicking. Before it displayed all the software ads or nothing related to my website. I modified meta keywords, meta description and I put a lot of dummy text that contained the image, picture, photo etc. -- but they didn't work at all.

The real secret is in your url. You have to put keywords in your url
-- for example, my original website's homepage is [link].
Now I redirect it to [link]/images=image+picture+video. I
don't use the 'images' parameters at all. But Google uses it for pulling related ads
into the page. If you look at my website -- do this: put a search
phrase in the "search box" and click "Full Screen", you'll see the url
contains the search phrase you enter and the ads in the page (Full
Win) exactly contains the ads related.

So you do this: put some dummy search variables such as ?terms=service
+seattle+lenders in your url (i.e, change original [link]
to [link] you'll what you
want. I suggest you visit my website to see how it works -- and it works so well.
