Does anyone else find the messages and alerts in the new Yahoo! Search Marketing system confusing? When old reddish-orange alert messages stay there even though the information is no longer valid it is certainly not helpful.
For example, in one account today I logged in to find this message:
The account is not displaying ads as of 3/3/07 8:31 AM. This may be because the account has reached its daily spending limit, its balance has been depleted, or your company's account administrator has set the account status to off.
However, in the alerts box it indicates that the credit card for this account has been charged three times since the date of that red message.
Then I go into a campaign and now I have a new reddish-orange alert message that says:
The account is not displaying ads as of 3/11/07 10:00 AM. This may be because the account has reached its daily spending limit, its balance has been depleted, or your company's account administrator has set the account status to off.
Since there are currently no statistics for 3/9 or 3/10 but 3/8 was far higher than "normal" I'm going to guess that we reached the daily spending limit today.
Now that red message has replaced the message on the Dashboard page I saw when I started typing this. I haven't discovered any way to acknowledge and remove those messages yet.
You can remove the messages in the alert box by clicking on "View All" in that box, then selecting the ones you wish to remove with a check and clicking delete.
