Has anyone heard of this yet? A client of mine got an email about this asking if they wanted to participate in the new pay per action Adwords beta program. They were directed to this page; [link] I went there but that page isn't hosted on Google so it makes me wonder if it's even legit. Anyone have any thoughts on this? |

Whether PPC or PPA would be preferable depends on conversion rate and costs; however, in general PPA could be safer. It would reduce risk from click fraud and poor quality traffic now referred to as distribution fraud. Obviously if an advertiser's site does not convert Google would stand to make far less from PPA than PPC. (No conversions = no payment.) If an advertiser has particularly strong conversion rates it is conceivable that they could end up spending more for PPA than PPC. |

Actually it's a double-edged sword, beacuse they still need to rank the advertisers (first, second, third, etc.) so it will be based on conversions. You're paying PPA but to get ranking you'll have to increase the payout. Also, do you really want G to know how many sales you make (it requires you to put a tracking code on a page after payment has been processed so they may compute your sales). They already know a lot. We have tried this on our own network and discontinued it. |

Thanks for the input MikeD. I haven't used their new PPA program yet. Google already has that information for any advertiser using conversion tracking or Google Analytics. It is highly likely that Google is or will be using conversion data in their algorithms. |

I have created PPA campaign for my product but iam receiving only impressions but not clicks. vat could be the reeason? Can anyone please help me out on this? |

Could be that you aren't bidding on the right keywords. Are they specific to what you are offering on your site? Could be your ads aren't written well. Do you headlines attract the user's attention and draw them into your site? Also, check your positions. If you're showing up in a low spot, you are going to have a very very low click through rate. Could be any of these. |

When you in Google's system, it should just show you your average position when you create a report. Also, if you're running ads in the content network, your click through rate is always going to be really really low. The content network will get you a gazillion impressions but your CTR will probably be way less than 1%. That's normal. |
