There continue to be major challenges getting the Google Adwords system to display targeted ads. To resolve this issue it is necessary to add a multitude of negative and embedded negative keywords.

Be sure to add them in every campaign and/or ad group or their system will, as Tonerman put it, simply "take another hostage" and continue to show ads that are in your account but not relevant to those searches.

The industries I've seen or heard about that are most affected so far are luggage, toner for printers, products that have specific model numbers, and anything specific to car makes and models.

Having ads for Chevy accessories show up on searches for Ford parts isn't good for conversions, especially since visitors to your site will have to find what they're seeking for themselves instead of you landing them directly there.
