    What does #of clicks and number of times shown in google means?That was the basis of click through rates,right?So how does they come up with that?

    Hello,

    In the future you'll want to ask quesitons about Google AdWords in the PPC forum. I'll report this thread and ask that it be moved there.

    The number of times shown is called impressions. That simply means the number of times your ad could have been seen by someone searching.

    Clicks are the number of times someone actually clicked on your ad. The click through rate (CTR) is calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of impressions.

    If you have 100 impressions and get 2 clicks your CTR is 2 divided by 100 or 0.02 or 2/100 or two percent (2%).
