Whenever a specific client of mine starts seeing a dip in his monthly sales, he tells me that we need to resubmit to the engines. I try to tell him not to worry about that.
A few years back, assuming that it was 1998, he paid a friend like $75 to submit to "all the major engines", and gets like 200 items of spam per day, and those are the ones that AOL allows through.

Brass Zebra is in number two place when I do a search from my connection for brass zebra - it is also the same when I search for the plural

ah yes, but as funny as it is we are now number one spot for brass zebras, instead of an ordinary low class rating of spot two for brass zebras.

Bad news is that we are still pipped at the post for the search term brass zebra. How very embarrasing it is to be beaten out for top placement on such a far fetched term like brass zebra.

Think of the consumer in her living room scanning the open spaces she has created at great expense. Its not quit right, so she pops on the idea, "Hey I need a Brass Zebra to make it perfect."

Niche marketing. Why do you think IKEA is still banging out product after all these years?
