I have a website with the URL [URL removed] but I also have 3 other versions, [additional URLs removed]. (These are to account for spelling variations of "surg" which is short for surgery, and to capture the .net addresses). To make it more confusing, my logo is [url removed], with an 'e' at the end, but that's another story...
Currently, the 3 ancillary URLs are being parked at [url removed]. Someone mentioned to me that I'm being penalized for this because it's creating mirror sites, with idential content.
Is this true? How would I know? I'm not trying to be sneaky or dishonest or trick the search engines. It never occurred to me until I was talking with an SEO professional.
So, what do I do about this? Can I forward instead of park? Or do I need to do anything? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
By the way, is is true that search engines dont really look at keyword metatags anymore?
Thank you in advance.
Danya

... and the keywords metatag is ignored by most search engines.
The <title> and meta description are the things to work with.
