When reviewing websites for inclusion into the directory, does Yahoo check to see whether any techniques which they may consider spam is present in the site?

Or is their judgement based on the website itself?

Yahoo look for spam. They want their directory to be a quality resource and it would harm the Yahoo brand if you could point out a site in the directory which was spammy.

Mind you; I've never heard of any site being kicked out of the Yahoo directory after it was approved. I dare say it would be easy to enough to automate a "Warning: This site is also in the directory" messsage from Yahoo!Slurp before it removed a site from the main Yahoo index.

Can you find any sites in the Yahoo directory with more than two hyphens in the URL?

That relates to SE Results, not the directory.
